character development

As experts in character development, Co-Founders Katya Stepanov and Jesse Carrey will consult and coach you on how to develop rich, original, and raw characters that will bring any story to life, and how it can help build the world of your story within a virtual, live, filmed, VR or XR experience.

Finding the Nugget

Every successful story, play, experience, film or tv series has a "nugget" at its heart. This nugget is the emotional question of your story. The nugget is the mountain, the thing inside you that you don’t want to deal with. It answers the question, "What did you/your characters have to feel that you didn’t want to feel in order to shift and change?"

We offer 30 - 60 minute consultations to help you discover and identify the nugget of your story. Through a series of exercises and inquiries, we will work with you to uncover the nugget of your story, and ensure it is strong enough to take your characters through the emotional journey of your story.

You want to build an audience that is engaged and begging for more. As we move into an age where the attention of our audience is difficult to maintain, interactive activities and games are the key to engaging your audience, inviting them to contribute rather than to consume, and ultimately giving them a sense of challenge, thrill, and fulfillment.

Script Consultation

As expert storytellers, we provide facilitation of exercises and techniques catered to your unique needs to support your script writing and storyboarding process. These exercises help to focus your narrative and aid your decision making during pre-production. The difference between a good and great story is specificity. Our approach helps to ground your story in truth.

Proscenium to Immersive Adaptation

Immersive theater has been a driving force for innovative storytelling, ultimately generating a new network of passionate audience members hungry to experience a story through an intimate and specific world. But when you remove the "off-stage" and are considering the experience of every single audience member, the work needed to create a successful immersive adaptation can increase exponentially.

We offer consulting on what steps to take when entering into a process of adapting any story to an immersive medium. We will focus on how to honor the story you are telling while guiding you through specific stages of adapting a proscenium show, including world-building, character tracking, script development, and play-testing.
